Care for nature begins close to home

In Latvia, nature and culture have always been closely bound — seasonal festivals, songs and ornamental signs speak of respect for the land, the waters and the forest. That bond is a firm foundation for environmental responsibility today.

Environmental organisations can help communities understand ecological challenges, share reliable information and find practical ways to act. That is what we aim to do — openly, cooperatively and without grand promises.

Mission and vision

“To encourage environmental responsibility, support community awareness, and promote sustainable practices through cooperation, education, and responsible participation.”

Vision: a society in which communities make informed environmental decisions and work together toward a healthier and more sustainable future.

Why it matters

Environmental responsibility is shared work

1

Natural resources

Clean water, fertile soil and healthy forests are finite. Protecting them is an investment in future generations.

2

An informed community

When people understand environmental issues, they make better decisions — at home and in local government.

3

Less waste

Prevent, reuse, recycle. Every step reduces pressure on landfills and on nature.

4

Everyday habits

Small, steady habits — saving energy, sorting, repairing — add up to a real effect.

5

Participation

Environmental improvement works best when neighbours, schools and organisations work together.

6

Education and cooperation

Long-term protection rests on knowledge that is passed on.
